1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using SnapForge ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. The Service is operated by TechyOwls ("we", "us", or "our"). If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

SnapForge is a screenshot API service that allows users to programmatically capture screenshots of web pages. The Service provides:

  • RESTful API for capturing screenshots
  • Multiple output formats (PNG, JPEG, WebP, PDF)
  • Customizable viewport sizes and options
  • CDN-cached responses for improved performance

3. Account Registration

To use the Service, you must create an account and obtain an API key. You are responsible for:

  • Providing accurate registration information
  • Maintaining the security of your API key
  • All activities that occur under your account
  • Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized use

4. Acceptable Use Policy

You agree NOT to use the Service to:

  • Capture screenshots of illegal content
  • Violate any applicable laws or regulations
  • Infringe on intellectual property rights
  • Distribute malware or engage in phishing
  • Overload or disrupt our infrastructure
  • Attempt to bypass rate limiting or usage quotas
  • Resell the Service without our written consent

5. Pricing and Payment

The Service offers both free and paid subscription tiers. By selecting a paid plan:

  • You authorize us to charge your payment method on a recurring basis
  • Subscription fees are billed monthly in advance
  • Prices may change with 30 days notice
  • No refunds for partial months (see our Refund Policy)

6. Rate Limits and Quotas

Each plan includes specific rate limits and daily quotas. Exceeding these limits may result in:

  • Temporary throttling of API requests
  • HTTP 429 (Too Many Requests) responses
  • Account suspension for repeated violations

7. Service Availability

We strive for 99.9% uptime but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We are not liable for:

  • Scheduled maintenance (with advance notice when possible)
  • Outages beyond our reasonable control
  • Third-party service failures

8. Intellectual Property

You retain ownership of any content you generate using the Service. However, you grant us a limited license to process URLs you submit for the purpose of providing the Service. We claim no ownership over screenshots generated through your use of the Service.

9. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, TECHYOWLS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR BUSINESS OPPORTUNITIES, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these Terms. You may cancel your subscription at any time through your dashboard. Upon termination, your API key will be revoked and you will lose access to the Service.

11. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes via email or through the Service. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
